High Spirited Bintix Appreciate in Hylobiz Business Story

Nature is the art itself – Nitin Namdev

We need to appreciate and enjoy art without causing any harm to it.

Recently the global population has been estimated as 8 billion.

According to the World Bank, waste production per person worldwide fluctuates greatly, from 0.11 to 4.54 kilos per day, with an average of 0.74 kilograms.

In India. Per capita waste generation varies between 0.2 Kg to 0.6 Kg per day in cities with populations ranging from 1.0 lakh to 50 lakh.

As the population is rising, we need to make sure to manage the waste, otherwise, there will be no place to live with the population and pollution.

We should remember to be part of the solution, not the pollution!

To manage this waste we need a resource and one such resource is Bintix.

In our business story series, we appreciate promising startups and their efforts to help society while working towards their vision.

Bintix – the Hyderabad-based startup that collects waste at your doorstep

Bintix in our business story, QR code, cashflow, Compliance, Credit, and Commerce solutions in Hylobiz

How many times have you delayed throwing out your garbage and missed the “kachra wala gadi” or been unable to sleep in the morning waiting for it?

Ever wonder where all those wastes are going?

What about difficult-to-recycle wastes like e-waste, glass bottles, and cardboard boxes?

Do you also struggle with wanting to help the environment but being unsure of what to do?

Bintix comes to the rescue

In June 2018, Udit Patidar, Jayanarayan Kulathingal, and Roshan Miranda founded the Hyderabad-based start-up Bintix.

All you need to do is schedule a call, and they will arrive at your door to collect your waste at a time that’s convenient for you. The dry waste doesn’t even need to be separated! From pickup through recycling, you may even follow the progress of your bag.

They are now active in 7 Indian cities.

Bintix picks up dry recyclable trash at doorsteps. They pick it up for FREE and compensate you for the trash.

Once the collected trash has been separated into several types, such as paper, PET plastic bottles, single-use plastic, etc., it is compressed using a hydraulic press.

Following delivery, they are given to authorized recyclers, who then compensate Bintix for the garbage.

What could be better than this if you also wanted to help sustain the environment but didn’t know how to?

Bintix collects paper goods as well as all types of plastic packaging, metal goods like metal, iron, and aluminum, as well as glass bottles, empty containers, unused cardboard boxes, the waste that comes with online shopping, and other things.

Basically, anything that you have accumulated and is not using.

The craziest thing is that once you send the waste away, they will also show you how many trees you have saved, instilling a sense of accountability and confirming that we did help the environment.

Where did the idea come from?

In Bengaluru, Roshan and Jay (Jayanarayanan) attended the same university and stayed in touch even after graduation. Jay had returned from the US five years prior, while Roshan did so in 2015.

Both were looking to start something of their own and bring change.

Waste management is not a profitable niche but needed significant change in the country, it’s how Bintix came into existence.

They founded Bintix as a tech-focused startup looking to disrupt the waste management industry.

Garbage bags with QR code

Bintix was primarily designed to ensure that no garbage entered the environment, including land, water, or mills. Finding the heaps of garbage that had been gathered was crucial.

Bintix already assigned pick-ups at the customer’s door using an app. The breakthrough came about when they decided to use the same software to track how many bags were delivered to the warehouse.

They initiated using barcoded bags but soon switched to (quick response) QR codes because of how quickly they could be scanned. Now each bag can be tracked just like delivery services.

Isn’t that amazing?

Next time you don’t know what to do with your waste, Try Bintix.

Remember a little effort makes a huge difference.
